Hello, I'm Mia
Project manager. Parent. Expat residing in Berlin, Germany.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
Origins of Our Move
Moving to Germany wasn’t part of the grand plan. Like many relocations abroad, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much larger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks felt more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But slowly, routines formed. We discovered places that worked for us, met other families, and started building something that felt stable.
What Inspired the Creation of Tavrel Quino
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation advice or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site exists to close that gap — practical guidance based on real life in Germany.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Real-world experience from living in Germany
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Germany continues, and the learning journey goes on. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue recording what we learn.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Mia
